The WAATPN has partnered with the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (HACM), Milwaukee Health Department, American Lung Association, Hayat Pharmacy and the Milwaukee area tobacco prevention networks to support the implementation of the HUD Smoke-Free Housing Policy. This committee is responsible for facilitating secondhand smoke and smoke-free housing workshops in public housing, recruiting public housing residents for the Freedom From Smoking (FFS) cessation program and collecting 600 resident surveys on smoke-free public housing.
